1. Purpose of the Study

This research study investigates economic decision-making in interactive settings. We aim to understand how people make choices when interacting with others and what factors influence these decisions.

2. What You Will Do

• Participate in a single-session decision-making game consisting of 10 rounds
• The entire session takes approximately 20-30 minutes to complete
• You will be paired with other participants and make decisions about resource allocation
• In each round, you start with 100 pesewas and decide how much to send to your partner
• The amount you send to your partner is multiplied by a factor of 3
• Your partner will return a portion of the multiplied amount back to you (your partner has been asked in advance how much they will return for each amount you send them)
• Your final earnings depend on your decisions across all rounds

3. Compensation

You will receive monetary compensation based on your decisions and the decisions of your partners throughout the game. Payment will be sent directly to your mobile money account after completing the session. The exact amount varies depending on game outcomes.

4. Risks and Benefits

Risks: There are minimal risks associated with this study. You may experience mild frustration or disappointment based on game outcomes.

Benefits: You will earn monetary compensation and contribute to scientific understanding of economic behavior and decision-making.

5. Privacy and Confidentiality

• All data collected will be kept strictly confidential
• Published results will only include aggregated, anonymous data
• Your identity will never be revealed in any publications or presentations
• Data will be used solely for research purposes

6. Voluntary Participation

Your participation in this study is completely voluntary. You may choose not to participate or withdraw at any time without penalty. However, please note that compensation is only provided upon successful completion of the game session.
